Recharge yourself for a day. Get away from your routine office, school or house work for an outdoor soft adventure at Sumbiling Eco Village- The latest Eco Tourism destination located at the Heart of Borneo, Temburong.

Meet at Kianggeh jetty at Jalan Residency, Bandar Seri Begawan. Depart for an exciting 45 minutes water taxi boat ride, cutting through River Channel lined with pristine mangrove to Bangar, Temburong. Brief toilet stop & last minutes shopping. Then by van or bus to Sumbiling eco Village. Arrive with welcome morning tea & light snack. Once ready, cross the Temburong River by Temuai- Longboat. Trek into simpur & bamboo forest. Explorer the forest for edible fruit & herb like wild local ginseng & medicinal plant. Learn how the Iban use the forest as their supermarket.

Experience with nature, river trek and floating down Motong River by rubber tube or by a life vest. Back to Sumbiling Eco Village for freshen up and enjoy a delicious bamboo chicken lunch. Relax & photo session before overland back to Bangar and onward by water taxi boat back to Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Sumbiling Eco village.

Itinerary

07:45am Meet at Kianggeh jetty, Bandar Seri Begawan
08:15am Depart via Boat to Bangar, Temburong
09:15am Welcome by local guide at Bangar jetty, Temburong
09:30am Depart via Van or Bus to Sumbiling Eco Village- “SEV”
09:50am Arrive at Sumbiling Eco Village for Morning Tea with local cakes “Kiuh”
10:15am After safety briefing cross Temburong river by longboat to start trekking
11:00am After learning all about edible plant,fruit,herbs we cross another river called Sungai Motong. Now we enter deeper into the Rainforest with accient & huge mature Bamboo forest. If lucky one might be able to see some wildlife.

11:15noon Built Bamboo raft in the jungle with minimum material. Then raft down part of Motong river. Other may use life-vest and follow along the bamboo raft.
12:15pm End of Bamboo Rafting and continue trek back to Sumbiling Eco Village for lunch, shower, relax & enjoy the serene environment
14:30pm Depart for Bangar Jetty & onward back to Bandar seri Begawan
16:00pm Arrive at Kianggeh Jetty, Bandar Seri Begawan with fond memories of Temburong,

What to expect :
As an outdoor trip, itinerary and times indicated are subject to change without notice, as trips may be affected by rain, heat, high or low water levels in the river. clean Modern toilet and shower. Meals will be local cook local style consists of Chicken, Fish & vegetable. Hot water will be available for coffee or tea at Sumbiling Eco village.
Recommended to wear & bring :
Light, easy to dry shorts & t shirts during trekking, light trekking shoes with good grip, a favourite cap to cover your head, face towel for those who sweat a lot. Bring Light rucksack, changes of clothes, sun lotion, hat, raincoat, camera, binoculars (only if you are bird watcher), small towel for the walk, towel + toiletries, swimsuit, insect repellent- non aerosol type, tiger balm will do. A change of clothes and towel for use on return to Sumbiling Eco village.
Some snacks like energy bars e.g. mixed fruit bars, chocolate, sweets and drinks (any isotonic drink or packets of oral rehydration salts) in case you get hungry and thirsty en route.
